Campus Pointe Herb Garden
In only two and a half months, Benchmark Landscape took a non used and outdated landscaping space in a 27,000 square foot University Town Center business park and transformed it into an irrigation efficient, environmentally sustainable and eco-friendly garden.
Since the original property was bowl-shaped, Benchmark’s first step was to grade the area level, eliminating any slopes that would make it impossible to access and properly irrigate the garden. Next, they installed a state-of-the-art, water-wise irrigation system along with decomposed granite and steel edging. This will ensure that the garden is irrigated efficiently, water remains only in the garden with no run off throughout the park and help keep water costs down.
Finally, Benchmark added vegetation to the garden – but not just any type of plants, mind you. They installed desirable fruit trees along with edible plants, including various herbs and vegetables that are used at nearby restaurant Fibonacci’s Bistro. To help make this project even more eco-friendly, organic waste from the Bistro is composted and re-used to fertilize the garden.
With Benchmark Landscape, not only will you receive quality service and value, but you will work with experts that care about the environment, listen to the client’s needs and can think outside the box to create unique and exciting landscaping ideas and solutions.
