It's Hard to Miss the Kiss on San Diego's Waterfront…

One unique feature of the new landscape is the addition of four beautiful Cherry Trees, dug up, boxed and donated by the Japanese Friendship Garden at Balboa Park and installed by Benchmark. Another distinctive element will be a concrete walkway inlayed with commemorative bricks that will be imprinted with the names of armed service veterans. This job will be completed in early February, and the final touch will be the arrival of the new, and permanent, bronze Unconditional Surrender Statue, just in time for the February 16th ribbon cutting ceremony.

Benchmark Landscape is teaming up with Landscape Architect Wimmer Yamada & Caughey and Prestige Concrete to transform this site into a rich union of nature and history.
