Benchmark was recently awarded the landscape maintenance contract at 700 W E Street in Downtown San Diego. The original building, formerly occupied by SDGE, remains intact with the addition of condominiums in the center.

This property presents a landscaping opportunity of new heights for Benchmark, as the majority of the landscape features are located on the building’s 5th floor, consisting of a pool area with planters and a courtyard with an expansive lawn area where residents can enjoy the outdoors. This presents interesting challenges for our maintenance team, including inclusion of a shade-friendly plant palette and transporting power equipment and any necessary materials to and from the building’s 5th floor.

Benchmark installed the original landscape for Bosa Development back in 2008. Now, eight years later, we have been awarded the opportunity to partner with the current property’s HOA – Electra – for the landscape maintenance.
